Asia 2025
Our first journey to Asia as a family - Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia, China and Taiwan (although not all of us in all those places).
Belize 2020
I visited Belize to see a catamaran, and in the process visited a chocolate factory in the countryside. The water was incredible colors, with the offshore coral reef.
Chamonix
We took a bus from Geneva to Chamonix, which allowed us to visit Mont Blanc, see a glacier, and enjoy a fantastic outdoor meal at a restaurant in the woods outside Chamonix. Our return bus was cancelled, but we were able to find an alternative, getting back to Geneva very late.
China 1987
I visited Hong Kong and Guangzhou in 1987, with a Minolta film camera and a 50mm lens. We toured Canton for four days in a minibus, eventually returning to HK by train.
Cornwall 2005
A lovely trip to Exeter, a stay in a lighthouse, and a visit to Padstow, home of a famous fish restaurant.
Europe and Weddings 2025
Lots of travel in 2025, with weddings in Maryland, Arizona, and Edinburgh. We combined them with trips to the UK and Greece.
India 2003
My first (and only) trip to India - a business trip in 2003. Photos taken on my first digital camera, with a 1MP sensor!
Portugal
We really enjoyed our trip to Lisbon and Porto, with a day trip on the Douro River past a lot of port vineyards. Some of the highlights could not be photographed, like the incredible fado (singing).
Switzerland
We've been to Switzerland three times now, there's so much to see, with cities, lakes, mountains, hot springs, and the French, German, Italian and Romansh regions
Venice 2004
A trip to Venice when we were living in the UK. Great food, architecture, beaches, and we visited Murano to see the glass-blowing.
